Patient Story #9
"The elbow pain started in the summer of 2003. The attacks came suddenly and in varying degrees of severity. Finally I decided to consult with an orthopedic doctor. I had to wait a month and a half for the appointment (it's too bad that the pain did not want to wait a month and a half also...). The appointment lasted no longer than 10 minutes. It was decided that I suffered from tennis elbow (epicondylitis). I had to wait another month and a half for the physical therapy treatments to begin. But these treatments did not help.
So, I got used to the pains and as much as it still concerned me, it became a fact of life that I would have to learn to live with. But Tao Shiatsu proved this belief to be false. Regardless of my many doubts, I began receiving Shiatsu treatments in March 2004. After 4 treatments the pains from tennis elbow completely and magically disappeared and have not returned. Although I do not understand the rational behind shiatsu, there is no doubt to me that it works.
Since then, I recommend Tao Shiatsu to my acquaintances who suffer from pain and who believe that they will have to "just get used to it". There's nothing to lose and a lot to gain!!!
